Who composed the music for Tomb Raider (2013)?

The story behind the answer

Jason Graves composed the music for Tomb Raider (2013).

Graves created the score for the reboot’s darker survival-adventure atmosphere. The music supports Lara’s progression from an inexperienced archaeologist to a determined survivor while emphasizing isolation, danger, and discovery on the island.

His work is separate from the music of earlier Tomb Raider games. Nathan McCree composed the original 1996 game’s score, while Peter Connelly contributed to several later classic-era installments. Troels Brun Folmann composed music for Tomb Raider: Legend.

The 2013 score was designed for a modern action game with dynamic tension and cinematic transitions. Its identity therefore differs from the more minimalist musical style associated with the original PlayStation-era Tomb Raider games.
