Jay-Z collaborated with Beyoncé on the 2003 single “Crazy in Love.”
The song was released as the lead single from Beyoncé’s debut solo album, Dangerously in Love. Jay-Z contributes a rap verse, while Beyoncé delivers the main vocal. The recording was produced by Rich Harrison and Beyoncé and prominently samples the Chi-Lites song “Are You My Woman (Tell Me So).”
“Crazy in Love” became a major international hit and is widely regarded as one of Beyoncé’s signature songs. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and won Grammy Awards for Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 46th Annual Grammy Awards.
The collaboration also became notable in the couple’s personal history: Beyoncé and Jay-Z later married in 2008. Jay-Z is therefore the correct collaborator, not another rapper or R&B singer who worked with Beyoncé on a different release.
