Eagle Flight is the virtual-reality game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and released in 2016.
The game places players in the role of an eagle flying above a post-human Paris. People have disappeared from the city, allowing wildlife to reclaim famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower. Players navigate by moving their head and can compete in aerial multiplayer matches.
Eagle Flight was designed for major early consumer VR platforms, including Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, and PlayStation VR. Its flight controls emphasized head movement rather than conventional gamepad steering, making the experience accessible while reinforcing the sensation of gliding.
It is sometimes confused with Ubisoft’s other VR releases. Werewolves Within is a social deduction game, Star Trek: Bridge Crew is a cooperative space simulation, and Space Junkies was developed by Ubisoft Montpellier rather than Ubisoft Montreal.
