Which US singles chart listed Taylor Swift’s “august” at number 23 in 2020?

Taylor Swift’s “august” entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 23 in 2020.

The Billboard Hot 100 ranks songs in the United States using a combination of streaming activity, radio airplay, and sales. “august” reached the chart after Folklore was released as a complete album rather than after a traditional single campaign.

Its Hot 100 debut was recorded on the chart dated August 8, 2020. The song remained on the Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks, while several other Folklore tracks also charted at the same time.

The Hot 100 result is different from the song’s performance on genre-specific charts and the worldwide Billboard Global 200. Confusing those lists can produce different numbers, because each chart measures a distinct market or category.
