Which university employs Frasier in the 2023 series?

The university that employs Frasier in the 2023 series is Harvard University. In the revival, Frasier returns to Boston and works as a Harvard professor while reconnecting with his adult son, Freddy.

This setting links the new series to Frasier’s long history in Boston. The character first became known on Cheers, where he worked as a psychiatrist, and later hosted a psychology radio program in Seattle. His Harvard position gives the revival a way to emphasize his academic identity while placing him back in the city where his television story began.

Harvard is also important to the younger Crane generation. David, Niles and Daphne’s son, attends Harvard and studies psychology, following the intellectual family tradition. That overlap creates opportunities for Frasier to act as teacher, relative, and famously demanding critic. The other options are nearby or prestigious universities, but they are not Frasier’s employer in the 2023 series. Oxford is in England, Boston University is a separate Boston institution, and Yale is in Connecticut.
