Which two Taylor Swift collaborators co-produced “august” with her?

Jack Antonoff and Joe Alwyn co-produced Taylor Swift’s “august” with her.

Swift and Antonoff are both credited as the song’s writers and producers. Joe Alwyn, credited under the pseudonym William Bowery on Folklore, is also listed among the producers. The three-way production credit reflects the collaborative method used for several Folklore songs.

Antonoff created the instrumental first and sent it to Swift. She wrote the lyrics quickly, describing the process as intuitive. Alwyn contributed to the album’s production while collaborating with Swift during the Folklore sessions.

Aaron Dessner is another major Folklore collaborator, which can cause confusion. Dessner produced and co-wrote several songs on the album, but he is not listed as a producer of “august.” He later joined Swift and Antonoff for the celebrated 2021 Grammy performance of several Folklore and Evermore songs.
