Which two producers worked with Taylor Swift on “august”?

Jack Antonoff and Joe Alwyn produced Taylor Swift’s “august.” Swift is also credited as a producer, but the two collaborators named in the song’s production credits are Antonoff and Alwyn.

Antonoff supplied the initial instrumental and was deeply involved in the song’s arrangement. Alwyn, who was credited under the pseudonym William Bowery on several Folklore and Evermore contributions, participated in production during the period when Swift was making music privately and remotely.

Aaron Dessner is the most likely alternative answer because he was a central Folklore producer and collaborator. However, Dessner is not one of the two collaborators listed as producers for “august.” The song’s credits therefore illustrate how Folklore combined several creative partnerships rather than relying on one producer across every track.
