The Rolls-Royce radiator badge displays the two letters RR.
The interlocked “RR” monogram represents Rolls-Royce, the luxury vehicle marque founded from the partnership of Charles Rolls and Henry Royce. The letters are traditionally rendered in a restrained, formal style that matches the brand’s emphasis on engineering, luxury, and craftsmanship. Rolls-Royce vehicles also carry the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, which is a separate emblem rather than part of the RR monogram.
The badge’s colors have changed historically. Early Rolls-Royce badges used red lettering, while the company later changed the letters to black. The interlocked initials remain the essential identifying feature.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is distinct from Rolls-Royce Holdings, the aerospace and defense company. Both trace their names to the original Rolls-Royce partnership, but the modern automobile business is operated by BMW Group.
