Which Transformers film introduced the Dinobots in live-action?

Transformers: Age of Extinction introduced the Dinobots in the live-action film series. The 2014 movie brings the legendary mechanical dinosaurs into the cinematic universe as ancient Cybertronians imprisoned aboard Lockdown’s spacecraft.

The Dinobots include Grimlock, Strafe, Slug, and Scorn. Their alternate forms are enormous robotic dinosaurs, including a Tyrannosaurus, a two-headed Pteranodon, a Triceratops, and a Spinosaurus. After Optimus Prime and the other Autobots free them, Optimus defeats Grimlock in combat and earns the Dinobots’ allegiance.

The film was directed by Michael Bay and stars Mark Wahlberg as inventor Cade Yeager. It takes place five years after the Battle of Chicago in Dark of the Moon and replaces the earlier films’ main human cast. The Dinobots are sometimes confused with dinosaur-themed Transformers from animated series or toy lines, but Age of Extinction marks their first appearance in the live-action movies.
