Which town is Ash Ketchum's hometown in the original Pokémon anime?
Answer
Pallet Town
Answer
Pallet Town
Pallet Town is Ash Ketchum's hometown in the original Pokémon anime.
Pallet Town is a small settlement in the Kanto region and the starting point for Ash's journey. It is also home to Professor Oak's laboratory, where new Trainers receive their first Pokémon and begin traveling through the region. Ash leaves Pallet Town after receiving Pikachu and setting out toward the Pokémon League.
The town's name reflects the series' art and design language: a palette is associated with colors and creative work. In the games, the player character and rival also begin in Pallet Town, making it one of the franchise's most recognizable locations.
Pallet Town is sometimes confused with Viridian City because Ash visits Viridian early in his journey and the city contains the region's first Pokémon Center and Gym route. They are separate Kanto locations. Ash's home and Professor Oak's laboratory are in Pallet Town.
