Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness
Answer
Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness
Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness was the final Tomb Raider game developed by Core Design.
Released in 2003, The Angel of Darkness was the sixth main entry in the series. Its story begins with Lara investigating the murder of Professor Werner Von Croy and takes her through Paris and Prague while she becomes connected to a conspiracy involving the Nephilim.
The game was published by Eidos Interactive and released for PlayStation 2 and Windows. Although it introduced darker themes, stealth elements, and a new character named Kurtis Trent, its launch was affected by technical problems and unfinished-feeling gameplay systems.
After this title, development of the main series moved from Core Design to Crystal Dynamics. Crystal Dynamics began its run with Tomb Raider: Legend, released in 2006, marking a major change in the franchise’s development history.
