Which title is a single by Rebel Sound member Shy FX?

The Shy FX single associated with Rebel Sound is “Original Nuttah.”

Released in 1994, “Original Nuttah” is a landmark jungle track produced by Shy FX, with lyrics and vocals by UK Apache. The record grew from an earlier Shy FX instrumental called “Gangsta Kid”; UK Apache adapted his vocal idea to the track, and the collaboration became an official release on the SOUR label.

The song helped bring the fast, bass-heavy jungle sound to a wider audience and became one of the genre’s earliest UK Top 40 successes. Its combination of breakbeats, reggae influence, ragga vocals, and distinctive bass line made it a defining track of 1990s British dance music.

The wording can cause a small historical mix-up: “Original Nuttah” is often credited jointly to Shy FX and UK Apache, rather than to Shy FX alone. Shy FX is the producer and composer, while UK Apache supplied the lyrics and vocal performance. Shy FX later joined the soundsystem collective Rebel Sound in 2014.
