Which three songs did Taylor Swift combine in her 2021 Grammy performance featuring “august”?
Answer
“cardigan,” “august,” and “willow”
Taylor Swift combined “cardigan,” “august,” and “willow” in her 2021 Grammy performance.
The medley appeared at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on March 14, 2021. It connected songs from Folklore with “willow,” which comes from Evermore, the sister album Swift released later in 2020.
The staging used a small cottage and a surrounding forest. Swift began with “cardigan” on top of the cottage, performed “august” inside while playing guitar, and then moved outside for “willow.” The visual design echoed the rustic, woodland aesthetic associated with Folklore.
Antonoff and Dessner accompanied Swift, making the performance a rare live presentation by the three central collaborators. It also arrived at a major moment for Folklore, which won Album of the Year at the same ceremony.
