The American reality television series debuted on October 14, 2007, on the cable network E!, following the Kardashian–Jenner family in Los Angeles. Its central figures included Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner, and Rob Kardashian.
Ryan Seacrest served as an executive producer, while Bunim/Murray Productions produced the program. The series became one of E!'s most recognizable franchises and ran for 20 seasons before concluding in 2021.
Viewers sometimes confuse E! with the production company or with later streaming platforms. E! was the original U.S. television network that broadcast the show; later Kardashian–Jenner projects, including The Kardashians, moved to Hulu. The original series also generated numerous spin-offs centered on individual family members and their relationships.
