E! originally broadcast Keeping Up with the Kardashians in the United States.
The reality series premiered in 2007 and followed Kris Jenner, her children, and their extended family. E!, a cable entertainment network known for celebrity and pop-culture programming, became closely associated with the Kardashian family through the show and its many spin-offs.
The program was produced by Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim/Murray Productions. Its success helped E! develop a large franchise of Kardashian-related series, including Kourtney and Kim Take Miami and Khloé & Lamar.
A common mix-up is confusing E! with Hulu, which later became the home of The Kardashians. Hulu did not carry the original series first; The Kardashians debuted there after Keeping Up with the Kardashians ended.
