Which team won the 2021 NRL Grand Final against South Sydney Rabbitohs?

Penrith Panthers won the 2021 NRL Grand Final against South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Penrith defeated South Sydney 14–12 at Brisbane’s Lang Park on 3 October 2021. The Panthers secured their second consecutive NRL premiership after also winning the 2020 grand final, becoming the first team since the Brisbane Broncos in 1992 and 1993 to claim back-to-back titles.

The match was played in Brisbane because the final stages of the season were relocated during the COVID-19 pandemic. Penrith led 8–6 at half-time and held on in a closely contested game. Panthers halfback Nathan Cleary received the Clive Churchill Medal as the match’s best player.

This result is sometimes mixed up with the 2021 NRL minor premiership, which Penrith also won. The grand-final victory was the club’s fourth top-level premiership, following titles in 1991, 2003 and 2020.
