Which team won the 2015 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational?

EDward Gaming won the 2015 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational.

The Chinese team defeated South Korea’s SK Telecom T1 3–2 in the final in Tallahassee, Florida. EDward Gaming became the first champion of the Mid-Season Invitational, an international event introduced by Riot Games between the regional spring and summer seasons.

The deciding game is remembered for EDward Gaming’s victory over SKT’s seemingly dominant late-game setup. EDG’s roster included Clearlove, Pawn, Deft and Meiko, while Pawn was named the tournament’s most valuable player. The series was the first major international final between EDG and SKT.

MSI is separate from the League of Legends World Championship, which is played later in the year. SK Telecom T1 won the next MSI in 2016, while EDward Gaming later became the 2021 world champion.
