Which team won the 2013 Dota 2 International grand final?
Answer
Alliance
Answer
Alliance
Alliance won the 2013 Dota 2 International grand final.
The Swedish organization Alliance defeated Ukraine-based Natus Vincere in a closely contested best-of-five final. Alliance won the series 3–0, although every game was highly competitive and the final became one of the most respected matches in early Dota 2 esports history.
Alliance's roster included Jonathan “Loda” Berg, Gustav “s4” Magnusson, Joakim “Akke” Akterhall, Jerry “EGM” Lundkvist, and Henrik “AdmiralBulldog” Ahnberg. Their disciplined split-pushing style, especially AdmiralBulldog's use of Nature's Prophet and Lone Druid, became strongly associated with the team.
The tournament took place in Seattle at Benaroya Hall in August 2013. It was the third edition of The International, following championships for Natus Vincere in 2011 and Invictus Gaming in 2012. Alliance's victory made it the first Swedish organization to win Dota 2's premier world championship.
