Ferrari is the only team to have competed in every Formula One World Championship season since 1950.
Scuderia Ferrari made its World Championship debut at the 1950 Monaco Grand Prix and has remained present in every season since. The team was founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1929, initially racing Alfa Romeo cars, and began building its own cars after the Second World War.
Ferrari's uninterrupted participation is distinct from its championship success. The Constructors' Championship did not exist until 1958, yet Ferrari was already competing in the Drivers' Championship's early seasons. Since then, it has also become the most successful constructor by championships, with titles across several technical eras.
The other options are notable long-running teams but joined later or had breaks. Lotus entered in 1958, McLaren in 1966 and Williams in 1978. Ferrari's continuity also explains why it is often described as Formula One's oldest surviving and most historically significant team, despite changes in ownership, branding and team personnel.
