2026 Hall of Fame inductee Elena Delle Donne represented the Chicago Sky when she won the 2015 WNBA MVP award.
Delle Donne received 38 of 39 first-place votes for the 2015 MVP award. She led the WNBA in scoring at 23.4 points per game and helped Chicago finish with the league’s best regular-season record at 21–13.
The award was Delle Donne’s first WNBA MVP honor. She had entered the league as the second overall pick in 2013 and had already won Rookie of the Year. Her 2015 season combined scoring efficiency, size, shooting range, and playmaking from the forward position.
Chicago reached the WNBA Finals that year but lost to the Minnesota Lynx. Sylvia Fowles of Minnesota won Finals MVP. Delle Donne later won another regular-season MVP award in 2019 with the Washington Mystics, making the team distinction important when comparing her two MVP seasons.
