Elena Delle Donne received 38 first-place votes for the 2015 WNBA Most Valuable Player award.
She won the 2015 MVP after leading the league in scoring at 23.4 points per game. Delle Donne also shot a career-best 95 percent from the free-throw line and ranked among the league leaders in rebounding.
The voting result was especially decisive: she received 38 of the 39 available first-place votes. The remaining first-place vote went to another player, but Delle Donne’s overwhelming margin secured her first WNBA MVP award.
This award was not her only major individual honor. Delle Donne had already won WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2013 and later captured another MVP award in 2019, making her one of the league’s most decorated players.
