Taylor Swift opened her 2021 Grammy medley with “cardigan.”
The performance then moved into “august” before concluding with “willow.” It took place at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on March 14, 2021, and presented songs from Folklore and Evermore as one connected musical sequence.
Swift began while lying on top of a cottage set, then performed “august” with a guitar inside the cottage. She and the musicians later moved outside for “willow,” creating a theatrical woodland setting that matched the albums’ visual atmosphere.
Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner accompanied Swift. The appearance was notable because it marked the first time the three Folklore producers performed together. “willow” came from Evermore, while “cardigan” and “august” came from Folklore.
