Rolex is the Swiss luxury watch brand that uses a five-pointed crown as its logo.
The crown, sometimes called the Rolex coronet, became a central part of the company’s identity in the early twentieth century. Rolex registered the crown logo in 1931, after founder Hans Wilsdorf had established the brand’s reputation for precise, reliable wristwatches.
The emblem is often confused with a generic symbol of royalty or prestige, but the five-pointed crown is specifically associated with Rolex. The word “ROLEX” usually appears beneath it in the brand’s watch dials, advertising, packaging, and storefronts.
Rolex’s history also includes the Oyster case, introduced in 1926, which helped popularize water-resistant wristwatches. The crown symbol later appeared on winding crowns and became one of the most recognizable marks in luxury watchmaking.
