Answer
Sébastien Buemi
Which Swiss driver won Le Mans overall with Toyota in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022? Sébastien Buemi did. He was part of Toyota’s winning crew in each of those four editions.
Buemi’s first Le Mans victory came in 2018, when he shared the No. 8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid with Fernando Alonso and Kazuki Nakajima. The trio repeated the win in 2019. In 2020, Brendon Hartley replaced Alonso, but Buemi and Nakajima remained in the victorious lineup.
After the TS050 era ended, Buemi won again in 2022 with Toyota’s GR010 Hybrid. His teammates were Brendon Hartley and Ryō Hirakawa. That victory made Buemi a four-time overall winner and linked Toyota’s LMP1 success with its newer Hypercar programme.
The wording can cause a small mix-up: Buemi is Swiss, but he was born in Aigle, Switzerland, and raced under the Swiss flag throughout his career. His four victories were not four consecutive editions, because Toyota’s 2021 winner was a different crew and Buemi did not win that race.
