Which studio developed the 2013 video game Tomb Raider?
Answer
Crystal Dynamics
Answer
Crystal Dynamics
Crystal Dynamics developed the 2013 video game Tomb Raider.
The game rebooted the series and reimagined Lara Croft as a young archaeologist on her first expedition. After a shipwreck, Lara and her companions become stranded on the fictional island of Yamatai, where they uncover dangerous supernatural forces and a hostile survivor community. The design combines exploration, climbing, combat, and survival mechanics.
Square Enix published the game after acquiring Eidos, the former publisher of Tomb Raider. Crystal Dynamics had already worked on the franchise through Tomb Raider: Legend, Anniversary, and Underworld, but the 2013 title introduced a new continuity. It is often confused with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which continue the rebooted storyline but were released later.
