Disney+ released Taylor Swift’s Folklore documentary featuring a performance of “august.”
Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions premiered on Disney+ on November 25, 2020. The film shows Swift performing all 17 tracks from Folklore while discussing the album’s creation with collaborators Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff.
The sessions were recorded at Long Pond Studio in New York’s Hudson Valley. They gave the collaborators a chance to perform the album together in one room after much of its writing and production had occurred remotely during the pandemic.
The documentary is sometimes confused with the Eras Tour concert film because both feature Swift performances and were distributed as major screen projects. The Long Pond film is specifically centered on Folklore, its songs, and the creative process behind them.
