Which stadium is the home ground of the Mumbai Indians?
Answer
Wankhede Stadium
Answer
Wankhede Stadium
Wankhede Stadium is the home ground of the Mumbai Indians. The ground stands in Churchgate, Mumbai, and is one of the IPL’s most recognisable venues.
The stadium opened in 1975 after being built in less than six months for an India–West Indies Test match. It was named after Seshrao Wankhede, a former president of the Mumbai Cricket Association. Mumbai Indians have used it as their home venue since the franchise entered the IPL.
Wankhede is also a major international cricket landmark. India won the 2011 World Cup final there against Sri Lanka, and Sachin Tendulkar played his 200th and final Test at the stadium. The venue was renovated before the 2011 World Cup, helping modernise its facilities.
The other options are home venues associated with different IPL teams: Arun Jaitley Stadium with Delhi, Chepauk with Chennai, and Eden Gardens with Kolkata.
