Reebok was the NFL’s uniform supplier from 2000 to 2012.
The National Football League granted Reebok an exclusive licensing agreement in 2000, with the league-wide uniform arrangement taking effect for the 2002 season. Reebok supplied uniforms, sideline apparel, footwear, and licensed merchandise for NFL teams, with the products marketed under the NFL Equipment name.
The agreement replaced a system in which individual teams had separate apparel-supplier contracts. Reebok’s exclusive position made its logo and branded jerseys familiar on NFL sidelines and in fan stores. The arrangement also became part of a major legal dispute when American Needle challenged the league’s licensing structure; the case eventually reached the U.S. Supreme Court.
Reebok’s run ended when Nike became the NFL’s official uniform provider for the 2012 season. The dates can therefore be described as 2000–2012 for the agreement’s overall period, or 2002–2012 for Reebok’s exclusive league-wide on-field uniform supply.
