South Korean boy band BigBang released “Fantastic Baby” in 2012.
The song appeared on the group’s fifth Korean-language extended play, Alive, released in February 2012. YG Entertainment issued “Fantastic Baby” as a single on March 7, 2012, and the track became one of BigBang’s most recognizable songs.
Its electronic production, chant-like chorus, and distinctive music video gave the song a strong visual identity. “Fantastic Baby” also helped BigBang reach listeners beyond South Korea and became a frequent reference point in discussions of second-generation K-pop.
The song is sometimes confused with other major YG Entertainment releases because BigBang members pursued prominent solo careers. It remains a BigBang group recording, not a solo single by G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, Daesung, or Seungri.
