Which South African baobab tree is over 1,700 years old and contains a wine bar?

The story behind the answer

The Sunland Baobab is the South African baobab famous for containing a bar and wine cellar inside its hollow trunk. It grew on Sunland Farm near Modjadjiskloof in Limpopo Province and belongs to the species Adansonia digitata, the African baobab.

The tree became a tourist attraction after its hollow interior was cleared in 1993. A small pub was fitted into one chamber, while another held a wine cellar. Natural ventilation helped keep the cellar near 22°C, and the unusual tree bar once hosted parties for dozens of visitors.

Its age is more complicated than the quiz wording suggests. One radiocarbon study estimated the tree at about 1,060 years, plus or minus 75 years, while other estimates proposed a substantially older age, including figures above 1,700 years. Most of the tree collapsed in stages during 2016 and 2017, destroying the bar. The remains are still known by the same historic name.
