Taylor Swift performed “Willow” from Evermore with “august” at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
On March 14, 2021, Swift presented a medley of “Cardigan,” “august,” and “Willow.” The first two songs came from Folklore, while “Willow” came from Evermore, the sister album Swift released in December 2020.
The staging used a cottage-like setting. Swift began with “Cardigan,” performed “august” on guitar inside the cottage, and then moved outside for “Willow.” Folklore producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner accompanied her, marking the first time the three performed together.
A common mistake is to identify “Cardigan” as the Evermore song because it appeared in the same medley. “Cardigan” and “august” are Folklore tracks; “Willow” is the medley’s Evermore representative.
