“Willow” completed Taylor Swift’s 2021 Grammy medley after “Cardigan” and “august.”
Swift performed the three-song sequence at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards on March 14, 2021. The medley opened with “Cardigan,” moved into “august,” and concluded with “Willow.”
The first two songs came from Folklore, while “Willow” came from Evermore, Swift’s second surprise album of 2020. The performance therefore connected two related albums and highlighted the atmospheric, narrative style associated with that period of her work.
The medley also featured Folklore producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner. It is easy to choose “Betty” because that song is the third part of the Folklore love triangle, but “Betty” was not the final song in the Grammy performance.
