Which song by Rascal Flatts plays over the end credits of Pixar’s Cars?

Rascal Flatts’ version of “Life Is a Highway” plays over the end credits of Pixar’s Cars.

The country group recorded a new version of Tom Cochrane’s 1991 song for the film. Its upbeat road-trip lyrics and driving rhythm fit the movie’s themes of travel, racing, friendship, and learning to value the journey rather than only the destination.

The song became strongly associated with Cars and reached a much wider family audience through the film’s soundtrack. It is frequently remembered as an original Pixar song, but it is actually a cover of a song first recorded by Canadian musician Tom Cochrane.

“Real Gone,” performed by Sheryl Crow, is another prominent song from the movie and appears earlier in the soundtrack. That distinction is why the end-credit placement matters when identifying the answer.
