McDonald’s used the slogan “McDonald’s is Your Kind of Place” from 1967 to 1971.
The line positioned McDonald’s as a welcoming, familiar restaurant for a broad family audience. It belonged to the company’s long series of advertising campaigns built around short, memorable phrases rather than detailed product descriptions.
The slogan is sometimes confused with “You Deserve a Break Today,” which McDonald’s introduced in 1971. The two campaigns appeared close together in the company’s advertising history, but they are distinct slogans from different periods.
McDonald’s later developed other well-known brand lines, including “I’m Lovin’ It,” launched in 2003. The changing slogans reflect how the company repeatedly refreshed its brand voice while keeping its recognizable name and Golden Arches.
