Which singer collaborated with Beyoncé on the duet “Telephone”?

Lady Gaga collaborated with Beyoncé on the duet “Telephone.”

“Telephone” appears on Lady Gaga's 2009 album The Fame Monster. Gaga wrote the song with Rodney Jerkins, LaShawn Daniels, Lazonate Franklin, and Beyoncé, and the recording features Beyoncé as the guest vocalist.

The song describes the pressure of an unwanted phone call interrupting a night out. Its extended music video continues the story from Gaga's “Paparazzi” video and stars both singers in a stylized crime-and-road narrative. Jonas Åkerlund directed it.

“Telephone” reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and became a major international hit. It is sometimes mistaken for a Beyoncé song from one of her solo studio albums, but the track belongs to Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster project.
