The Mayflower appears on the reverse of the 2026 Mayflower Compact quarter.
The coin is one of five circulating quarter designs issued for the United States Semiquincentennial. Its theme is the Mayflower Compact, the agreement made by English settlers aboard the Mayflower in 1620 before they established Plymouth Colony.
The ship's image connects the document to the voyage that brought the settlers to North America. The obverse shows two Pilgrims, while the reverse presents the Mayflower itself. The design therefore links the people, the agreement, and the journey in one coin.
The Mayflower is often confused with the Speedwell, another ship intended for the 1620 voyage. The Speedwell proved unsuitable and did not complete the crossing, leaving the Mayflower as the vessel associated with the settlement voyage.
