Which Schoolhouse Rock! subseries aired in 1975–1976 to coincide with the United States Bicentennial?

The story behind the answer

The Schoolhouse Rock! subseries that aired in 1975–1976 to coincide with the United States Bicentennial was America Rock.

America Rock used animated music videos to explain American history and government. Its episodes covered subjects including independence, the Revolutionary War, the Constitution, women’s suffrage, and the legislative process.

The series was timed to the Bicentennial, the 1976 celebration of the 200th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Several America Rock songs became especially well known, including “The Preamble” and “I’m Just a Bill.”

A common mix-up is calling the subseries History Rock. That name was used for a later 1987 home-video release, while America Rock was the title used for the original television subseries.
