Which school did Georgia O'Keeffe attend in New York from 1914 to 1915?

The story behind the answer

Georgia O'Keeffe attended Teachers College, Columbia University, in New York from 1914 to 1915. She studied art education there after earlier training at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art Students League of New York.

At Teachers College, O'Keeffe encountered the teaching of Arthur Wesley Dow. Dow emphasized composition, design, and personal expression rather than simply copying the visible world. Those principles became important to O'Keeffe's developing modernist approach.

She did not complete a conventional long-term art-school path at Teachers College. Instead, her studies and teaching work helped her test ways of making art that were less dependent on realistic representation.

Teachers College is part of Columbia University and remains a major institution for education. O'Keeffe's association with it is sometimes confused with her later work as an art teacher in Texas and South Carolina.
