Which rock band or artist has the hit song "We Are Young"?

The hit song "We Are Young" was recorded by the band Fun, featuring Janelle Monáe.

Fun released the song as the lead single from its second studio album, Some Nights. The track first appeared in 2011 and became a worldwide breakthrough, combining an arena-sized chorus with indie-pop and rock influences. Janelle Monáe provides guest vocals, making the full credited act Fun featuring Janelle Monáe rather than Fun alone.

The song's rise was helped by several major media appearances. A performance on Glee introduced it to a broad television audience, while a Chevrolet Sonic commercial during Super Bowl XLVI brought it to millions of viewers. It later topped the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks and became Fun's first number-one single.

Listeners sometimes identify only Fun because lead singer Nate Ruess carries the most recognizable vocal lines. Monáe's contribution is concentrated in the bridge and backing parts, but her featured credit is part of the official song title and recording attribution.
