Which Ride or Die actor released the 2007 album The Eat Up?

Ed Skrein released the 2007 album The Eat Up.

Before becoming widely known as an actor, Ed Skrein established himself as a rapper from North London. The Eat Up was his first album, released in 2007 through Dented Records. It followed a three-track EP issued in 2004 and formed part of an early music career that included collaborations with artists such as Foreign Beggars, Asian Dub Foundation, Plan B, Dubbledge and Doc Brown.

Skrein continued releasing music after The Eat Up. In 2007 he made the collaborative EP Pre-Emptive Nostalgia with A State of Mind, and in 2009 he worked with Dr Syntax on Scene Stealers under the name Skreintax. The album is therefore easy to overlook when audiences know him primarily from film and television.

His later screen roles include Daario Naharis in Game of Thrones, Francis “Ajax” Freeman in Deadpool and Frank Martin Jr. in The Transporter: Refueled. Those acting credits do not replace his earlier identity as a recording artist; The Eat Up belongs to the beginning of his career as a rapper.
