Hannah Waddingham played Jax-Ur in Krypton.

Krypton was a Syfy science-fiction series that premiered in 2018 and explored Superman’s home world generations before his birth. Waddingham portrays Jax-Ur, formerly known as Sela-Sonn, a former leader of the Black Zero terrorist group and a one-time protégé of Val-El. The character becomes an important political and revolutionary figure in the show’s conflict over Krypton’s future.

The name Jax-Ur comes from DC Comics, where it belongs to a long-running Kryptonian adversary of Superman. Krypton substantially reimagines the character for its television mythology, including Waddingham’s version and the character’s expanded backstory.
