Which Rick and Morty season premiered on September 4, 2022?
Answer
Season 6
Which Rick and Morty season premiered on September 4, 2022? It was Season 6.
Rick and Morty’s sixth season began on Adult Swim on September 4, 2022. Its opening episode, “Solaricks,” continued the show’s serialized multiverse storyline while also dealing with the consequences of the previous season’s finale. The season ultimately contained 10 episodes and concluded on December 11, 2022.
The date can be confusing because Rick and Morty has used irregular release patterns, long gaps between seasons, and occasional surprise scheduling changes. Season 5 premiered in 2021, while Season 7 followed in 2023, making the September 2022 date specifically a Season 6 milestone rather than a general franchise premiere date.
Season 6 was also notable historically: it was the final season featuring Justin Roiland’s voice work as Rick and Morty. Adult Swim later ended its relationship with Roiland in January 2023, before the seventh season aired. That later production change does not alter the season’s original premiere date or its identification as Season 6.
