Kanye West released the album 'Late Registration' in 2005. His second studio album arrived on August 30, 2005, through Roc-A-Fella Records and Def Jam Recordings, following his breakthrough debut 'The College Dropout'.

West recorded much of the album in New York and Los Angeles and worked closely with film-score composer and producer Jon Brion.
