Which rapper founded the record label Cash Money Records with his brother Ronald Williams?

The story behind the answer

Bryan Williams founded Cash Money Records with his brother Ronald Williams.

Bryan Williams is better known as Birdman, Baby, or Baby Williams. He and Ronald “Slim” Williams founded Cash Money Records in New Orleans in 1991. The label initially focused on local Southern artists before becoming a major force in rap.

Cash Money’s roster eventually included Juvenile, B.G., Turk, Lil Wayne, and the group Hot Boys. A distribution deal with Universal Records in the late 1990s helped the label expand nationally and achieve major commercial success.

Birdman is sometimes confused with Lil Wayne because the two had a close professional relationship and Birdman served as one of Wayne’s mentors. However, Birdman founded the label; Lil Wayne joined its roster as a young artist.
