Which racer is the primary villain in Pixar’s Cars 3?

Jackson Storm is the primary villainous rival in Pixar’s Cars 3.

Storm is a next-generation race car whose advanced technology and speed threaten Lightning McQueen’s place in the Piston Cup competition. He represents a younger racing era built around simulation, data, and highly optimized performance.

Unlike Chick Hicks, who is Lightning’s major rival in the first Cars film, Jackson Storm is introduced specifically for Cars 3. Francesco Bernoulli is Lightning’s principal racing rival in Cars 2, while Cal Weathers is a racer connected to the later Piston Cup storyline.

Storm is voiced by Armie Hammer in the original English-language version. His sleek black-and-blue design contrasts with Lightning’s older racing style and helps establish the film’s central conflict between experience and emerging technology.
