Which racer from Italy competes against Lightning McQueen in Pixar’s Cars 2?

Francesco Bernoulli is the Italian racer who competes against Lightning McQueen in Pixar’s Cars 2.

Bernoulli is one of the headline competitors in the World Grand Prix. He is a Formula One-inspired open-wheel race car with a flamboyant personality and strong confidence in his own speed. His rivalry with Lightning provides much of the film’s racing banter.

The character is voiced by John Turturro in the English version. Bernoulli’s design and biography connect him with European motorsport, while the World Grand Prix takes the racers through Tokyo, Porto Corsa, and London.

Cars 2 includes several international racers, so names can be easy to mix up. Max Schnell represents Germany, Raoul ÇaRoule represents France, and Lewis Hamilton appears as an English-voiced character who also has a role in the film. Bernoulli is specifically the Italian competitor.
