Which publisher released the first issue of The Last Ronin?

IDW Publishing released the first issue of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.

The five-issue miniseries began in 2020 and was created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird with contributions from Tom Waltz, Esau and Isaac Escorza, and Ronda Pattison. Its story is set in a possible future where only one of the four original turtles remains alive and seeks revenge in a dystopian New York.

The project draws on ideas Eastman and Laird developed for a planned Turtles story decades earlier. IDW, which has published the ongoing modern Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic line since 2011, issued the miniseries as a major event in its Turtles catalog.

Mirage Studios published the original 1984 comics, while Archie Comics published a separate comic adaptation of the 1987 cartoon. Those publishers are therefore common mix-ups, but The Last Ronin was released by IDW Publishing.
