Joe Alwyn received additional producer credit on Taylor Swift’s “august.” Swift and Jack Antonoff are the song’s principal credited writers and producers, while Alwyn was recognized as a co-producer.
Alwyn worked with Swift on Folklore under the pseudonym William Bowery for some songwriting and production contributions. The Recording Academy later recognized his production involvement after Folklore won Album of the Year at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
Because Aaron Dessner produced many Folklore tracks, listeners sometimes assume he produced “august” too. The specific credits for “august” identify Swift, Antonoff, and Alwyn.
