Aaron Dessner joined Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff onstage for “august” at the 2021 Grammys.
Dessner and Antonoff were important producers of Folklore, and both accompanied Swift during the Grammy medley. Their appearance marked the first time the three musicians performed together publicly in that configuration.
Swift played “august” on guitar inside the cottage set, with Antonoff and Dessner contributing instrumental parts. The presentation emphasized the collaborative production behind Folklore rather than portraying the songs as a solo performance.
Joe Alwyn is also credited as a producer on “august,” but he did not join Swift and Antonoff onstage for this Grammy performance. The song's credits therefore include three producers, while the live appearance featured Swift with Antonoff and Dessner.
