Joe Alwyn helped produce Taylor Swift’s “august” alongside Swift and Jack Antonoff.
Alwyn is credited as a producer on the song, while Swift and Antonoff are also listed among its producers and songwriters. His production contribution connects “august” to the collaborative studio work behind Folklore.
Alwyn’s Folklore credits are often discussed alongside the pseudonym William Bowery, which he used for songwriting and production contributions on Swift’s 2020 albums. This can create confusion when readers compare individual track credits.
Aaron Dessner was another major Folklore producer, but he is not listed as a producer of “august.” He collaborated with Swift extensively elsewhere on the album and later on Evermore, making the distinction between the album’s contributors important.
